As part of the Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce’s mission to build a positive business environment,
we have created this site to provide tools and resources to help you start and operate a business in Decatur
County, Indiana. Included on this page are downloadable forms and worksheets as well as links to other useful

Small Business Grant -
Applications are now available for the chamber’s new small business grant. One local business will be awarded $1,000 to improve, expand, remodel or grow their business. The business must be located in Decatur County, be a member of the chamber, and have less than 100 employees. Applications are due to the chamber office by 4:00pm on Friday, August 29th. The winner will be notified by September 15th and will be recognized at our annual meeting on November 13th.

Indiana BizCafe is a free site that provides a forum for useres to connect with experts, identify investors, locate new clients and find new investment opportunities. Visitors to the site complete an online personal profile that describes tehm and their business interests such as potential customers, federal grant opportunities or investors. Once complete the site scours more than one million records and emails users matches based on their identified search criteria. It also provides a searchable database of federal grant opportunities

The State's comprehensive site for economic development assistance.
INDURE -
INDURE: the Indiana Database of Research of University Expertise was created by the State of Indiana to help transform university-developed technology into money-making businesses. The site is an online searchable database of Indiana researchers, intellectual property and on-going sponsored research projects available for further development or for integration into new products or services.
Money Training Academy -
Money Training Academy is an online certificate training program that will teach you the basics of money – where to find it, how to get it, and how to manage it. This program tracks your progress through the courses and issues you a certificate of completion once you pass four of the seven courses provided.

Public Entity Risk Institute (PERI) -
Resources to Manage Small Business Risks
Small businesses face a wide-range of risks but often lack resources and training to effectively deal with these risks. PERI is a nonprofit organization that provides excellent educational and training resources to help public entities, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations better understand and manage the risks they face.
