Rotary Announces 2010 Euchre Tournament Winners
108 players vied for the $2,280 in prizes during the 9th annual Rotary Euchre Tournament to benefit Special Olympics and Rotary International held at the Knights of St. John Hall on Saturday February 27, 2010.
Walking away from the Final round with the Grand Prize trophy and $1,000 prize was High Point scorer Jeff Richart. Amy Osting won $500 for second place, Pauline Schoettmer took third winning $250, taking fourth place and $175 was Tessa Witkemper and fifth place was awarded to Joe Taylor winning $100.
A consolation round was also held in the afternoon with Bruce Vanderbur beating the other thirty-one players for the most points and winning $155.
Other prizes awarded included most 'lones in the morning won by Danny Grimes and most afternoon 'lones won by Joe Taylor.
The Rotary Club of Greensburg and Decatur County Special Olympics are very appreciative of the hug community support that helped make the tournament a success.
